What We Do | Events
REAP hosts the following events each year to bring citizens and businesses together for the purpose of creating a more connected and sustainable economy. Check our event calendar for the next opportunity to join us!
Sustainability for Breakfast:
This monthly networking event brings together sustainability champions from the business, government and non-profit sectors to share stories of collaboration and impact to accelerate Calgary’s progress toward a greener, more localized economy. Events are from 7:30-9:00 am on the last Friday of each month (except December) at different venues around Calgary. There is a different theme with different presenters (chosen based on ongoing applications) each month. This event series is co-hosted with The City of Calgary’s Office of Sustainability. Join the Meetup group for updates and notifications of future events.
Savour Sustainability Dinners:
These bi-monthly dinners are hosted at REAP restaurants around Calgary. Guests enjoy 3-4 courses of local, sustainable food, each one featuring a different local farm. Dining is family-style with the producers seated among our guests. Local wine and/or beer pairings are included with each course.
Down to Earth Week:
REAP’s annual spring festival of local, sustainable living provides a place for people to gather and exchange ideas about green lifestyles and business practices. The week bridges Earth Hour (March 28) and Earth Day (April 22) and offers resources for making Calgary greener all year long.
Food For Thought:
REAP’s annual harvest celebration of local, sustainable food pairs producers with chefs to offer guests 20+ stations of food and beverage sampling. The casual and interactive atmosphere promotes discussion with farmers and chefs directly, and includes live music, children's activities and community displays.
