Fort Calgary is thrilled to showcase a fierce double bill featuring Amelie Patterson and Yolanda Sargeant (of Sargeant & Comrade). This special event promises to be an unforgettable, intimate concert, including a meet and greet following the performance.

About the Artists
AMELIE PATTERSON

Hailing from Banff, Alberta, and serving as the town’s first Poet Laureate, Amelie Patterson leads as a strong ambassador for women songwriters. The clear-voiced, honest and tenacious troubadour’s music traverses territories from blues to folk rock. Her debut album Roll Honey Roll was released in May 2016 at Canadian Music Week and went on to win YYC Alternative Recording of The Year in 2017. Patterson then took to the road touring across Canada hitting stages at Calgary Folk Music Festival, Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity, TED Talks, and venues across Alberta and BC.

SARGEANT & COMRADE

One from Russia, one from Carribean, Sargeant & Comrade (Yolanda Sargeant & DJ Comrade) combine various cultures, styles and genres to create a unique sound that has been captivating audiences since this unlikely duo began playing live shows in 2009. Sargeant & Comrade combine elements of old school jazz, soul, reggae and hip hop to create brand new flavours of music that transcend genre. Dusty record samples get mixed with live instruments and Yolanda Sargeant’s stylish, soulful voice brings it all together.
