This month's Sustainability for Breakfast is in honour of International Women's Day. The 2018 campaign theme is #PressforProgress and we are pledging to celebrate women's achievements through a panel discussion and through content generated before, at and after the event. You are invited to join us to do the same using the #PressforProgress and #BeLocalYYC hashtags.

In this session we will host a panel discussion and hear from these inspirational local women entrepreneurs who have all made significant contributions in supporting other women to start their own ventures:

Evelyne Nyairo, Founder of Ellie Bianca, has started a skin care company that connects women across the world by sourcing clean ingredients directly from women's cooperatives in Africa.

Catherine Bell, Founder of Awakened Project, has partnered with an Alberta artist to design bracelets that celebrate awakening to a world that works for everyone and in which we can all lead fulfilled lives. The sale of her bracelets contribute to helping women start entrepreneurial ventures of their own.

Lara Murphy, Co-Founder of Ryan Murphy Construction, advocates for more women in leadership and business, and supports women entrepreneurs to create beautiful spaces to grow their businesses. She also helps women and their families through her work with Accessible Housing.

This Sustainability for Breakfast is for the BOLD purpose driven REAP leaders that are committed to using business to make the future better. Come to this S4B if you are ready to have big-picture conversations with other big-picture thinkers.

Do not come prepared to listen to a few select individuals telling you what you should be doing. Come ready to learn and share what you are seeing, thinking and doing to bring forward an industry of conscious brands.

The session is designed to be a dialogue around what a conscious brand is (now) and could look like (future) leading to a conscious industry (scaling impact).

In small groups, we will discuss emerging trends in conscious business, what the implications are to your company and, ultimately, co-create an industry of conscious companies.

On top of your personal notes, we will collect and share the key insights from the session with you. You will leave knowing many other leaders beyond their name and role on a business card. Lastly, you will leave with a more clear sense of how to be a more conscious business leader.

This is an invitation to bring your whole self to this session and together we will co-create an industry of conscious brands.

Rob Sinclair is the founder of Conscious Brands, and strongly believes in T. Harv Eker’s maxim that “how you do anything is how you do everything.” He helps businesses grow and thrive by showing them the inherent value of taking their economic, human and natural capital into account, and working with all of those resources. He believes that there can’t be sustainability without collaboration, and there can’t be culture without community.
